Good to hear they are thinking about the western suburbs being connected to the light rail. Hang on, only go to the Nerang station? Anyone who lives in Nerang knows that is miles away from the shops, schools and homes.
The talk of light rail connecting the western suburbs. Don’t hold your breath. 2030 is a long way away. Many changes of governments and councillors in between.
All this talk about extending the light rail is good, but why can’t they finish the M1 and heavy rail first? The light rail is only replacing services already provided by buses. – LM

The Gold Coast should have a showground. It was a sad day when Parklands closed. The coast lost greyhound and harness racing along with big day out and cricket centre. All for Commonwealth Games.

I encourage GC residents to visit this waterway that is home to so much native wildlife and oppose council’s decision to fill the lake in to develop area into car parking.

To sell Bruce Bishop carpark would be one of the worst decisions made by council. Surfers Paradise would become Sufferer’s Paradise!
Hope post office at the Oasis mall is next on the list for a revamp. So cluttered and I’m tired of the long queues! What a sick, sick world we have become.
