Shark moves to settle ‘beef’

-

CRONULLA pivot James Maloney insists he has “no beef” with Todd Greenberg despite the NRL boss hitting out at comments made by Maloney recently.

Greenberg took exception to claims Maloney described everyone associated with the game outside the players as “accessories”.

While Maloney has since clarified his comments, he is yet to smoke the piece pipe with Greenberg. But according to Maloney there is no ill feeling between the pair.

“I haven’t caught up with (Greenberg),” Maloney said.

“He’s been in meetings and that’s very productive. I have got no beef with him.

“I don’t know (if he’s got beef with me), you’ll have to ask him. I don’t really need to (catch up with him).

“I’ve got no issue with him and if we come across paths there’s no doubt I’ll say hello.”

Maloney’s contract situation remains unresolved despite having a year to run on his Cronulla deal.
