Unkind cut does trick
GOLD Coast trainer Toby Edmonds’ decision to geld wellbred Whypeeo has continued to pay dividends with the three-year-old winning for the third time.
Whypeeo was sent out a $1.16 favourite at Doomben on Saturday and won accordingly, strolling home for an easy win.
It took his record to four starts for three wins.
“The funny thing is he could not go a yard when he was a colt,” said stable spokesman Trent Edmonds said.
Whypeeo, by leading sire I Am Invincible, will be set for the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas (1400m) on the Gold Coast on January 14.
