TSS success ends wait
THE Southport School have sealed a first Queensland GPS Competition crown since 2010 with a 48-13 win over Anglican Church Grammar School.
Having beaten Nudgee College the previous weekend to surge into the equal competition lead, TSS held their nerve on Saturday in front of a Brisbane crowd of about 3000.
With Nudgee also winning their final round match against Brisbane State High School and points differential not being considered, the silverware will be shared by TSS and Nudgee.
Each school lost one game throughout the season.
