Owner Steven Adams says a crowd favourite is their in-house 50 day dryaged, all natural pasture-fed black angus with a 300g rump on the menu for $39. “Another popular choice is our 300g wagyu rump cap ($62). Co-owner Stephen O’Brien says the 200g rump and half rack of beef ribs for $48 served with chips and coleslaw is their bestseller. “We buy in our meat whole and do our own cutting.” Among this restaurant’s fans is a family who have been coming for lunch every Friday for the past 23 years, nicknamed The Crispies for their insistence on a quality chip. “Twice cooking gives us a better crunch and a nice soft inside,” Stephen says.
