Star trio in Don frame

JEFF Horn’s world title victory over a boxing legend, the State of Origin heroics of the man known as “JT” and Sally Pearson’s return from injury to world champion are in contention for this year’s classic edition of The Don Award.

Horn, Johnathan Thurston and Pearson are three of seven finalists for Sport Australia’s Hall of Fame award to be announced on October 12 in Melbourne.

Named in memory of Sir Donald Bradman, the award recognises the individual or team who has most inspired the nation through their performance.

Champion hurdler Pearson is chasing a third Don award.
