Spots up for grabs in AHL

KOOKABURRAS coach Colin Batch says the upcoming Australian Hockey League will go a long way to deciding his World League final team.

The men’s team were last week drawn to face heavyweights Germany, England and hosts India in the fourth leg of the two-year event.

The December event will be the side’s final hitout before next year’s Commonwealth Games, making the AHL tournament in Perth critical.

There is also next month’s Oceania Cup with New Zealand and PNG.
