Tara turns back on TV return after Bachelor exit
TARA Pavlovic says The Bachelor’s “disappointing” editing made her so upset it quashed any chance she would make a comeback as next year’s Bachelorette.
The Gold Coast nanny has become such a fan favourite that calls for her to take the reins from Sophie Monk next season began weeks ago.
But the 27-year-old, who was axed by Matty “J” Johnson last night, says the negative portrayal of her brother Troy during the hometown visit episode broke her trust in the show’s producers: “That made me do a backflip on (considering doing) The Bachelorette.”
Tara slammed the editing of her brother’s appearance on social media. She says the word “liar” was cut from a different chat about Matty’s tattoos and inserted in a conversation about his intentions.
Tara also doesn’t want to hurt other people’s feelings for “personal gain”. “I don’t think I could string people along if I didn’t really like them and you have to do that (as the Bachelorette) because you have to keep the audience guessing,” she said.
While she “really liked” Matty, she said was not heartbroken. “As soon as I didn’t get a rose it was like ‘oh yeah, this is a TV show’ and reality just hit.”
Adelaide-born Elise Stacy and Sydney’s Laura Byrne are the final two women vying for Matty’s heart.
