Helpers wanted for program
POLICE are scouting for volunteers and a boxing coach for their Channelling Healthy Aggression Mentoring Program. The program, run in conjunction with Elanora Police Beat and Sergeant Linda Baade from Gold Coast PCYC, will be brought to the southern Gold Coast in November. Program participants are youth at risk and young offenders who take part twice a week for one hour sessions. Volunteers can be of any age but must qualify for a Blue Card and pass a screening process. A qualified boxing coach is also being sought.
