Emmys on Nic’s hitlist

-

NICOLE Kidman might have to seek out a Broadway play.

The actor is the favourite to win not one, but two, Emmy Awards this weekend for starring in and producing the miniseries Big Little Lies.

If bookmakers and awards experts are correct and the Aussie does win at least one, Kidman, will just need a Tony Award to join an elite group.

Dubbed the “Triple Crown of Acting”, the elite 23 who have won an Oscar, Emmy and Tony, include Geoffrey Rush, Helen Mirren and Al Pacino.

Kidman won her Oscar in 2003 for The Hours.

The 69th Emmys is a bumper one for Aussies with nominations also for Rush (Genius), Judy Davis (FEUD), Kate Dennis (Handmaid’s Tale) and Bruna Papandrea (Big Little Lies).
