In the State seats of Bonney, Gaven and Broadwater, if you are reading this candidates please pour a coffee or a Chai and take a deep breath – for all of us.

Candidates are complaining daily about corflutes, other signage and location of campaign trailers. In the bigger picture, this is not a rocket launch from North Korea.

Your columnist sighted an email from Councillor Kristyn Boulton’s staffer to Bonney independent Ron Nightingale, which sums up the frustrations for others on the line.

“Ron, as stated on the office voicemail message, there are numerous reasons why, in a busy office such as ours, we are unable to answer the phone from time to time,” the staffer wrote. “However, please be assured that I will always return your call, should you leave a message.”
