The Bachelor’s Matty J has upset viewers for dumping fan favourite Tara Pavlovic in the series’ penultimat­e episode. “I’m devastated,” Tara said, trying to compose herself as she said a brief goodbye to the man she began falling in love with. Matty choked up as he left Tara emptyhande­d after giving Laura Byrne and Elise Stacy roses at the end of Wednesday night’s semi final.

Bines caught out by her own video

Gold Coast fitness guru Ashy Bines has admitted to regularly parking in a disabled parking space outside her Mermaid Beach gym, attempting to justify the move because “we have no members with any disabiliti­es”. Ms Bines was caught out when she uploaded a video to her YouTube channel. It showed her parking her Range Rover in a disabled space at Pacific Square.

Sam fires up at ‘smug’ Eddie

Sunrise host Samantha Armytage has called Edwina Bartholome­w “smug” on live TV after newly engaged Bartholome­w suggested a potential suitor for Armytage. A segment on Wednesday night’s First Dates aired on the breakfast program on Thursday, showing contestant­s Jake and Rebecca. When Bartholome­w revealed the pair didn’t make it past their second date, she told Armytage Jake was still single. Armytage, 41, responded: “All right, thanks Eddie.
