Taser part lost in siege

POLICE are appealing to the public to help find a taser cartridge that was lost during the 10-hour siege in Surfers Paradise on Friday night.

A taser cartridge is the equipment fired from a taser that includes barbs and wire which conduct electrical current after being fired.

Police said they were making inquiries to find the item which has been described as the size of a matchbox, black and with a silver “door”.

“The cartridge is to be treated as a dangerous item if found and members of the public are urged not pick up or handle the cartridge,” a Queensland Police Service statement read.
