Axed Usman leading Bulls

AXED Test batsman Usman Khawaja will head up Queensland’s one-day campaign this summer as he fights to regain his berth in the Australian team ahead of The Ashes.

Khawaja will captain the Bulls in next Friday’s JLT Cup opener against Cricket Australia XI. The Bulls yesterday announced their 14-man squad for the one-day tournament, which includes Test opener Matt Renshaw, rising leg spinner Mitch Swepson and one-day international representatives Sam Heazlett and Billy Stanlake.
