Terminator tough girl Hamilton on way back

IT turns out she’ll be back as well – it’s just taken 25 years.

Linda Hamilton is returning to the Terminator movies for the first time since 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

James Cameron, who is producing the sixth movie in the franchise which will also star Arnold Schwarzenegger, announced his ex-wife would reprise her role as Sarah Connor (pictured).

“As meaningful as she was to gender and action stars everywhere back then, it’s going to make a huge statement to have that seasoned warrior that she’s become return,” he said.

The film is set to hit screens some time in 2019.

Cameron recently compared Wonder Woman unfavourably to Hamilton’s Terminator character. Cameron called Gal Gadot’s superhero an “objectified icon,” but said Connor was “pure grit”.
