Khawaja tells of frustration

USMAN Khawaja has spoken of his frustration at being regularly dropped but vowed his latest Test axing will not crush his bid for an Ashes recall.

Khawaja will captain Queensland in the upcoming JLT Cup and Sheffield Shield, where he has two months to prove to selectors he is worthy of playing the first Ashes Test at the Gabba starting on November 23.

“It’s frustrating when I’m not in sides and get left out. At the end of the day, if the team’s winning I’m quite happy,” the 30-year-old said.
