I WANT to generate my own power with solar and wind without paying a power company because power runs by my property.

This would save me thousands. But hold on, law says I can’t. Let’s have a postal survey/plebiscite.

Certain this would be more than 11 per cent of population that would want this. The Government loves wasting money, so people let’s give them another reason. LEE

HOUSE prices will continue to soar. What goes up never comes down. There will be no crash, only the good times.

Unless interest rates go up again. And everyone knows that

will never happen because though history repeats itself, it never will in this instance. LISA, GOLD COAST

SO DAWN Crichlow doesn’t want public land used for the development of a casino in Southport.

Is this the same Cr Crichlow who in May 2015 recommended the Broadwater Caravan Park (council/state public land) be sold for highrise development and in April this year agreed with a proposal to build a casino on the site?

It is to be replaced by another glamorous million-dollar office re fit out for the National Disability Insurance Agency.

It’s a pity the money is spent on management offices and not on the recipients of the National Disability

Insurance Scheme. What are their priorities and where is the accountability? SHEREE BENNETTS, GOLD COAST

WELL the scaremongering on global warming has accomplished something: much dearer power bills, especially for the true believers in South Australia.

But it not to late for the rest of us. Please Malcolm, grow some and put an end to this rot. ROD WATSON, SURFERS PARADISE

AH, MICHAEL Jacobson, to mix metaphors, you warmed the cockles of my heart and tickled my funny bone in Saturday’s Informer with “The sky is falling”.

You also finished with a statement that I agree 100 per cent with.

All that will happen is love, equality and tolerance. COL, GOLD COAST
