Stable first for Waller

CHAMPION trainer Chris Waller has won his first Gold Coast race since setting up his satellite stable at the Bundall track in July.

Silverwin ($1.65) won the Maiden Plate (1300m) on Saturday on a memorable day for the Sydney trainer’s northern outpost.

Stablemates Colosimo and Loving Home won at Ipswich to give the Waller team their first Queensland metropolitan double since moving to the Gold Coast.

Silverwin was heavily backed from $1.90 to $1.65 and landed bets $5500 at $1.75 and $4000 at $1.75 with UBET.
