CLOWNING AROUND AT COVE

- AMANDA ROBBEMOND

DON’T be surprised if your kids want to run away and join the circus after they’ve visited the Sanctuary Cove Festival.

Hula hooping, plate spinning and ribbon twirling are just a few of the fun, free activities on offer, with the annual festival set to draw in more than 10,000 people.

Sarah Jane McNeil of Paradise Productions said she thought a fun circus theme would be great for families.

“We also have a circus craft host where kids can make their own juggling balls ... out of balloons and rice,” she said. The Sanctuary Cove Festival will also showcase a collection of luxury brands, including car brands Maserati, Lamborghini and Ferrari, as well as yacht and boat brands Integrity Motor Yachts and Maritimo.

There will be an obstacle course challenge, a cooking stage and a trackless train.

The festival runs from 10am-4pm on Sunday.
