Crab cache bomb fears

-

BOMB squad officers called to investigate a suspected terror threat with a pressure cooker left on a suburban street yesterday were relieved to find it was only holding several crabs.

A Queensland police spokesman said a street at Crestmead, south of Brisbane, was shut down yesterday morning after a resident called the terrorism hotline to report the pressure cooker on a footpath. He said bomb squad officers approached the appliance, which was emitting a strange smell. When they opened the pot they found it full of crabs.
