These pita pocket sandwiches can be filled with your favourite fillings, and will fly out the kitchen when served.

Ingredient­s:

1⁄2 cup mayonnaise 2 tablespoon­s Dijon mustard 8 pita pockets Fillings: lettuce, ham,

tomato, cheese, grated carrot, beetroot, cucumber, avocado

How to make:

Carefully run a knife around the edge of each pocket halfway, to make an opening.

Combine the mayonnaise and mustard; spread about 1 tablespoon into each pita half.

Stuff each with fillings of your choice.

Let kids try new foods Give kids plenty of opportunit­ies to prepare their own food.

When doing the shopping, take the kids with you and get them to look for and choose foods they would like to try.
