IT has been a big week for marathon aficionados.

Along with the course unveiling for the Games, running great and Australian Chef de Mission Steve Moneghetti, was recognised by one of the major marathons in the world. The Commonwealth Games gold medallist from 1994 had the dual honour last week of opening the Berlin Marathon Hall of Fame and being one of its inaugural inductees.
