Shaun Barker (left): Gold Coast father, car yard worker and alleged drug addict and dealer who was murdered in late 2013.

William Dean: The Gold Coast drug dealer convicted of Shaun Barker’s murder. Police claim he was the one who drove the father to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland where it is believed he died.

Stephen Armitage (below): Cooloola Cove fisherman who police say developed a drug habit, probably as a means to deal with a back injury before later dealing drugs — convicted of the murder of Shaun Barker this week. Matthew Armitage (right):

The son of Stephen, also convicted of Barker’s murder.

Detective Sergeant Steve McBryde: The Burleigh Heads CIB team leader was the first officer alerted of Mr Barker’s disappearance and tasked with overseeing the operation.

Detective Senior Constable Annie Watt and Detective Senior Constable Mick Bradley:

The two Gold Coast detectives tasked with investigating the murder. They both worked for nine months full time on the murder case.
