Fire cooks bread plant
ABOUT four cubic metres of frozen garlic bread will be written off after a fire broke out at a factory in Brisbane’s east.
Almost 30 firefighters were at the Australian Garlic Bread Company at Capalaba yesterday, shovelling through 3-4 cubic metres of frozen garlic bread to find the fire’s source.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services were called about 2.12am after an automatic alarm was activated.
Smoke made it hard for crews to find the source of the fire inside a pile of boxed garlic bread stored in a cold room.
