China win for A2 Milk

THE A2 Milk Company has had its application to continue selling its infant formula products in China approved by the Asian nation’s regulatory body. The mandatory application to the China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) was submitted in May by formula manufacturer Synlait Milk, which has been in partnership with A2 Milk since 2010.

All manufacturers of infant formula must register brands and recipes with the CFDA in order to import products into China from January 1.

Synlait chief executive John Penno described the registration as another milestone in its partnership with A2 Milk.
