Snowdens’ kids rule

-

TRAINERS Peter and Paul Snowden have again demonstrated their genius with juveniles by qualifying seven youngsters for the opening two-year-old races of the new season at Randwick tomorrow.

The Snowdens saddle up four colts – Bondi, Invincible Lad, Sokudo and Spin – in the Listed Breeders Plate (1000m), while they have three fillies – Satin Slipper, Galina and Impetuoso – in the Listed Gimcrack Stakes (1000m).

Peter Snowden, a two-time Golden Slipper winner with Sepoy (2011) and Capitalist (2016), said the seven youngsters had trained on well since their impressive barrier trial efforts this month.

The champion trainer was reluctant to split his Breeders Plate quartet although he said price assessors had it just about right by rating Invincible Lad ($7) ahead of stablemates Bondi ($7.50) Spin ($8.50) and Sokudo ($21).

Godolphin’s Hiemal is the $4.20 favourite with UBET.
