Before 79,722 fans, departing 323-game Melbourne champion Cooper Cronk received a fitting finale, deftly pulling the strings.

Two people trapped in flipped car

Police are investigat­ing a single vehicle traffic crash in Tallai which left four people with injuries. A car travelling on Worongary Rd left the road and crashed into a guard rail before flipping on to its roof. The male driver was thrown from the vehicle and Emergency Services had to work hard to free both passengers trapped in the vehicle. All occupants were taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital with serious but non-life threatenin­g injuries.

Footy fans react to Nine’s ad move

Viewers have reacted after they saw Macklemore finally sing Same Love – and Channel Nine ran an ad for the No campaign straight after it. The American rapper took to the stage at the NRL Grand Final and sang his hit song. But the decision to air a TV ad for the No campaign immediatel­y after Macklemore’s song had viewers scratching their heads. The Coalition for Marriage ad had many on social media talking.

Clever bunny rides bus and trains solo

A white rabbit has been spotted travelling around London on trains and buses — without an owner in sight. Matt Hepburn tweeted a photo of the rabbit casually riding on his bus, saying: “There’s a rabbit on my bus.” The photo has since been liked more than 50,000 times by baffled Londoners.
