SPURRED BY ANZAC SPIRIT

-

ANZAC Day traditionally has an early start, but Coomera State School’s Eliesha Saville is eager to get cracking on her contribution for next year.

With that sort of spirit, it’s no wonder her local RSL thinks Australia’s future is in good hands.

The Year 4 student attended her first dawn service at the Helensvale Bowls Club this year and was so inspired by the stories of sacrifice that when she went home, she started baking Anzac biscuits to sell to her local community at Cova, in Hope Island.

Eliesha planned to donate all proceeds from sales to her local RSL – and the project snowballed from there.

She raised nearly $80, which she handed over to the RSL in early May.

I TELL YOU WHAT, IF THE YOUNGER GENERATION ARE ANYTHING LIKE YOU, AUSTRALIA IS IN GREAT HANDS
