Late winner stuns Patriots

GRAHAM Gano hit a 50m field goal as time expired, helping the Carolina Panthers stun the Patriots 33-30.

The winner served as redemption for Gano, who missed an extra point in the third quarter.

It was the second home loss this season for the usually unbeatable Patriots at Gillette Stadium.

In another upset the Atlanta Falcons saw their unbeaten start to the NFL season come to a shuddering halt with a 23-17 defeat to the gritty Buffalo Bills.
