INTERVIEWS CLOSED FOR VOLUNTEER JOBS
THE final volunteer interviews for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games were held at Burleigh Heads last week.
Around 21,000 applicants have attended interviews over the past four months at the Gold Coast, Cairns and Townsville.
GOLDOC chairman Peter Beattie said the quality of applications had been high and he was grateful to everyone who put their hand up to help out.
“While the interview process has come to a close, our team will continue to sift through applications and make offers until the end of October,” he said.
“Pleasingly the majority of volunteers are from the Gold Coast.”
