THE MEDIA HAVE A ROOM WITH A VIEW

-

THE world’s media will have one of the best seats in the house with a temporary media centre to be built on the sand at Kurrawa Park.

The Gold Coast Media Centre will provide working space and events showcasing the Gold Coast and Queensland for 3500 media attending the Commonwealth Games.

It will be walking distance from the Main Press Centre and International Broadcast Centre which will be located at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre. Executive coordinator city media operations Mark Howell said the beachfront centre would provide access for media to stories about the host city and region outside of sport.

“The media centre will be co-located with Commonwealth House which will host Commonwealth business and trade meetings during the Games,” he said.

“We’ll be providing media with great content along with filming positions.”
