RELAY REACHES INDIA

THE Queen’s Baton is one continent closer to the Gold Coast, currently touring Commonwealth Games powerhouse India.

The hosts of the 2010 Games have their sights firmly set on improving their fifth-place finish at Glasgow, with genuine strong medal chances in shooting, wrestling and weightlifting. India is the second stop on the Baton’s journey through Asia, having spent five days in Pakistan.

The next stops on the list are Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Malaysia.

The Queen’s Baton Relay is one of the highlights in the lead up to the Games.
