ANYONE charged with organising a charity event knows the work required to get things up and running. Today we dips our lid to the army of one, Gael Chudleigh, who for many years has been the Gold Coast’s go-to person for all things to do with Variety The Children’s Charity. On Friday she was at it again cajoling celebrities and sponsors to be marooned on Variety Island, a sandbar in the Broadwater, for the cause. Above and beyond and then some.
