Surfers to Paradise

PETER Batley, who in July sold a 1960s home overlooking the beach in Surfers Paradise for $6.5 million, has bought in Paradise Waters.

Mr Batley, an investor in Canberra commercial property, bought in riverfront Commodore Dve from Cairns car dealer Greg Eastment for $5.02 million and apparently will spend a few hundred thousand dollars modifying it.

Mr Eastment bought the home, Mandalay, from onetime car dealer David Baird for $3.75 million in 2013.
