Wild plans for Rudy

GOLD Coast gelding Rudy is likely to chase a wildcard into the Magic Millions series when he resumes in the next few weeks.

Rudy became one of the few Queensland-trained horses to pass $1 million prizemoney when he won the Group 3 Tattersall’s Cup at Doomben at his most recent start in June.

“Rudy is not eligible for the Magic Millions because he was bred by his owners but there is a race called the Shoot Out Quality which is a wildcard race for the Magic Millions,” trainer Helen Page said.

Page had a good day at the Gold Coast meeting on Saturday with Powerful Saga winning and Brinkmanship and Lady McCabe both finishing second in their races.
