Reds may lose Regan

ADELAIDE United hardman Taylor Regan is in doubt for the Reds’ clash with Brisbane Roar at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night, with coach Marco Kurz concerned for the welfare of one of the key men helping his A-League adaptation.

Regan picked up a serious ankle injury on Sunday in the 1-1 away draw with the Phoenix. He was taken to a Wellington hospital after going down on the hour clutching his left ankle.

“When he made a pass Taylor felt a big pain in his ankle,’’ Kurz said. “I hope it’s not too serious but when Taylor finishes the game in big pain, it’s not good.”

There are fears he has suffered ligament damage.
