Kay locked in classic battle

COOLANGATTA-TWEED’S Rebecca Kay yesterday fired three birdies in her one-over-par 73 to share the lead in the South Pacific Ladies Classic at Surfers Paradise Golf Club.

The leading Queensland amateur is locked at the top with Georgia Clarke (Sanctuary Cove) and Hye Park (Royal Pines) while 2016 runnerup Karis Davidson (Sanctuary Cove) had 74 to open the 54-hole event.

THE Australian Open men’s event will return to Melbourne in 2020 and 2022 after 15 years in Sydney.
