Sharing’s caring for road users

-

POLICE are urging Gold Coast cyclists and motorists to share the road safely with each other.

Recently police have received reports of cars travelling too close to cyclists and sounding warning devices. One driver was fined $121 after footage showed the car overtaking closely to cyclists. The car was also found to be defective. Senior Constable Kurt Foessel said while motorists could be frustrated when caught behind cyclists, cyclists needed to be mindful so cars could easily pass.
