GOLD Coast dancer Jesse Ras­mussen is fly­ing high thanks to the ac­claimed show he co-cre­ated and stars in – The Tap Pack.

The high-en­ergy com­edy meets song and dance show picks up where The Rat Pack left off, with Ras­mussen joined by fel­low dancers and singers Thomas J Egan (The Boy from Oz, Tap Dogs, Fame), Jor­dan Pol­lard (The Ad­dams Fam­ily, Any­thing Goes, Singin’ in the Rain) and fel­low Gold Coaster Sean Mul­li­gan (fresh from star­ring in Jer­sey Boys on Lon­don’s West End).

Ras­mussen, who runs two hip hop dance companies, JTOWN and FlowCity – The Aus­tralian Dance Con­ven­tion, cre­ated The Tap Pack with Egan, Pol­lard and the show’s direc­tor, Nigel Turner Car­roll.

A for­mer He­lensvale High stu­dent who found fame in 2009 on So You Think You Can Dance, Ras­mussen’s cred­its in­clude Hot Shoe Shuf­fle, Tap Dogs (here and on the West End), Oh What A Night, Grease and Candy Man and films in­clud­ing Happy Feet and Happy Feet 2 and Peter Jackson’s King Kong.

The Tap Pack plays The Arts Cen­tre Gold Coast on Novem­ber 11.
