Kids score big fat fail

-

MORE than 99 per cent of Australian children are failing to meet common health benchmarks, with parents issued a blunt warning to “take notice of the bleeding obvious” and fix the crisis.

The shocking results from a landmark study reveal 0.5 per cent of children aged 5-16 meet the six recommendations crucial for safeguarding health.

Children’s ealth was measured by their adherence to eating two serves of fruit and five vegetables a day as well as 60 minutes of daily activity.
