Girl recounts cruelty of her IS captors

The young woman revealed she was forced to watch other girls being raped, before becoming pregnant and trying to throw herself down the stairs to force a miscarriag­e.

‘Whim’ led bikie to a fatal shooting

A NSW bikie who killed a custom car builder “on a whim” in a dispute over a rare motorcycle has been jailed. John Richard Weston, 37, shot dead Laurie Starling, 29, as he left his NSW Central Coast business The Chop Shop on July 24, 2014. A NSW Supreme Court jury earlier this year found Weston guilty of the murder, and on Wednesday he was sentenced to 34 years with a non-parole period of 25 years and six months.

Toddler in hospital after bike crash

A toddler was taken to hospital after a car and bike crash in Upper Coomera. Paramedics were called to Catalina Way after reports of a car and bike collision. The child is believed to have sustained leg and facial injuries and was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
