Federer sets ATP target

FRESH from victory in the Shanghai Masters, Roger Federer has shifted his focus to the end-of-year ATP finals in London rather than regaining the world No.1 tennis ranking.

Federer concedes fighting Rafael Nadal for top spot is a long shot and is instead focused on the London event.

He beat Nadal 6-4, 6-3 in the Chinese final to claim his 94th career title and put him level alongside Ivan Lendl to second on the all-time list, with both men trailing the 109 of Jimmy Connors.
