Drunk on lawnmower
A MAN will face court after allegedly driving drunk to a petrol station on a ride-on lawnmower on AFL grand final night.
Police say the 23-year-old from Lindisfame in Tasmania had a blood alcohol level of 0.143 – more than triple the legal driving limit.
The mower was intercepted shortly after pulling into a petrol station on the East Derwent Hwy northwest of Hobart in the early hours of October 1. The driver is set to face three charges including using an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle.
