Grandma faces court
A BRISBANE grandmother accused of trying to murder her grandson by slashing his face with a large cleaver will undergo mental health assessments, while the four-monthold remains in intensive care.
The infant was found with facial injuries at a home in The Gap on Tuesday and was taken to Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery.
He is in a serious but stable condition. His 64-year-old grandmother appeared in court yesterday charged with attempted murder.
