HOW PLASTIC ROADS WORK

Household and commercial waste is converted into plastic pellets.

●The pellets replace a majority of bitumen in the asphalt mix.

●The plastic pellets bond well with tar and oil on the roads as they are both petroleumbased products.

●Plastic pellets are made from items which usually end up in landfill making the process good for the environment as well.

The plastics used in the roads also reduce the need for fossil fuels.
