Kidnap accused opts not to apply for bail

A MAN accused of trying to abduct a sleeping six-year-old from her bed in Loganlea on Monday also allegedly cut his way through the window of a nearby home one day later.

But Jackson Dodi-Musson, 19, denies ever being at the child’s home as police continue to build their case against him.

Detectives accuse him of snatching the girl as she slept from her upstairs bedroom, then punching her in the face when she woke and screamed.

Police will allege that DodiMusson fled the scene following a confrontat­ion with the girl’s father.

He was arrested early yesterday morning following a two-day manhunt.

Police found Dodi-Musson at a house on Haig Rd, 600 metres away from the victim’s house.

He appeared in the Beenleigh Magistrate­s Court yesterday but opted not to apply for bail.

He will next November 8. appear on
