IT was a stunning finish to an epic Gold Coast weekend of Supercars as Scott McLaughlin came from 13th on the grid to win on the streets of Surfers before running out of fuel mid-celebration.

Departing Supercars boss James Warburton said longerterm contracts for the Gold Coast 600 would help the event attract global superstar performers, boost crowds and stop the party running dry in McLaughlin’s style.
