Fitness feud back before the court

- VANDA CARSON

FITNESS queen Ashy Bines and husband Steve Evans have reignited their feud with former protege Emily Anderson.

In the Supreme Court on October 13 Bines and Evans’ company Platinum Investment Group (PIG) sued fitness model Anderson and husband Declan Redmond for $1.5 million over a business falling-out.

PIG has sued Anderson – who is the face of Emily Skye FIT – and Redmond claiming they reneged on a business “divorce” made in April 2015.

Under the “divorce” deal it says Anderson and Redmond agreed to pay PIG $750,000 in return for PIG’s 30 per cent stake in Anderson’s diet companies.

The deal also aimed “to resolve” opposing bitter legal wrangles between the couples.

PIG claims that it held up its side of the bargain by transferring its stake in the diet companies to Anderson and Redmond, but claims that the couple made just three payments totalling $183,333 before the April 2015 deal faltered.

PIG initially sued over the “divorce” deal in the District Court, but this month asked the Supreme Court to hear the case because the sum now exceeds the monetary jurisdiction of the District Court.

The case returns to Supreme Court on Friday. the
