Nick’s bigger Davis eyes

NICK Kyrgios insists he will prioritise the Davis Cup next year ahead of the grand slam tournaments.

Kyrgios announced last week he will not play again this year so he can rest injuries, including a lingering hip problem, so he can perform better for the Australian summer, which he will start at the Brisbane International from December 31.

Kyrgios failed to reach a third round at a grand slam event this year, ensuring he would end the season with a ranking outside the top 20.
