PLAY TIME FOR BUSY MASCOTS

-

COMMONWEALTH Games mascot Borobi will host his Malaysian counterpart Rimau on the Gold Coast this week.

Borobi and South East Asian Games mascot, Rimau, will visit the Coast’s most famous tourist hot spots, beaming images and footage back to sports fans in Malaysia.

Commonwealth Games and Tourism Minister Kate Jones said hosting Rimau was an innovative way to keep the Gold Coast and the 2018 Games in the minds of Malaysians.

“Visits like this are important – they generate significant international media attention,” she said.

“I’m sure Rimau will enjoy the best of what we have to offer on the Gold Coast and share those experiences with his fans across Malaysia.”

Borobi and Rimau will tour the Gold Coast for five days.

They will go zip lining, shopping, surfing, cuddle a koala and will tour Commonwealth Games venues.
